Calexico is an American Indie Rock, Tex-Mex Band from Tucson, Arizona, formed in 1990 by Joey Burns (Vocals, Guitar, Bass and Multi-Instruments) and John Convertino (Drums) began working together. They subsequently became a kind of Indie Rhythm Section for hire working with the likes of Victoria Williams, Barbara Manning and Richard Buckner before forming Calexico.
