Big Star was an American Rock Band from Memphis, Tennessee, formed in 1971 by Alex Chilton (Vocals, Guitar, Piano Ex The Box Tops), Chris Bell (Guitar, Vocals), Andy Hummel (Bass), and Jody Stephens (Drums). The band's musical stye drew on the vocal harmonies of The Beatles, as well as the swaggering rhythms of The Rolling Stones and the jangling guitars of The Byrds. Big Star was inducted into Memphis Music Hall Of Fame in 2014.
