Osmosis was an American seven-piece Progress and Jazz Rock Group from Boston, formed in 1970 by Charlies Mariano (Saxophone, Flute), Bobby Knox (Vocals), Andy Steinborn (Guitar), Danny Comfort (Bass), Charlie Bechler (Keyboards), Lou Peterson (Drums) and Bobby Clark (Drums, Percussion).

Osmosis is the sole album by Osmosis, originally released in 1970 by RCA, remastered and reissued on November 24, 2017 by Esoteric Recordings.  The group arguably becoming one of the first true Progressive bands and can be compared to the work of British groups such as Van Der Graaf Generator, Soft Machine or King Crimson.
