Randy Newman is an American Singer, Songwriter, Arranger,  Composer and Pianist.  He may have been slightly influenced by Bob Dylan, but his music more to New Orleans R&B and Traditional Pop than Folk.  Since the 1980s, he has worked mostly as a Film Composer and his Film Scores include Ragtime, Awakenings, Cars, Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., A Bug's Life and many more!.  He has received Twenty Academy Award nominations in the Best Original Score and Best Original Song, he also won three Emmys, six Grammy Awards.  He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in 2002 and he was inducted to Rovk And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2013.
