David Gilmour is an English Musician, Singer, Songwriter and Multi-Instrumentist, best known for his work as the Guitarist and Co-Lead Vocalist of the Progressive Rock Band Pink Floyd.  In 2012 the group had sold over 250 million records worldwide.  He has had a solo career since 1978.  In 2011, Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him No. 14 in the list of the Greatests of All Time and was voted No. 36 in the greatest voices in Rock by Planet Rock Listeners in 2009.
