James are an English Indie Pop Band from Manchester, formed in 1982 by Jim Glennie (Bass), Paul Gilbertson (Lead Guitar), Tim Booth (Lead Vocals), and Gavan Whelan (Drums).  Their best known singles include "Come Home", "Sit Down", "She's A Star" and "Laid", which also became a hit on American College Radio.  The band had sold more than 25 million albums worldwide.
