Eric Gale was a leading American Jazz and Session Guitarist, born in Brooklyn, New York. He began playing guitar at the age of 12 and he was pursue musical career to accompaniments for Maxine Brown, The Drifters and Jesse Belvin and soon began to attract of King Curtis and Jimmy Smith. He became known first as a session musician in the 1960s, appearing on as estimated 500 albums with many artists such as Aretha Franklin, Bob James, Paul Simon, Quincy Jones, Nina Simone, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Grover Washington, Jr., Herbie Mann, Joe Cocker, Carly Simon, Van Morrison, Al Jarreau, Dave Grusin, , Billy Joel, Lena Horne, Esther Phillips and many more!. He died of lung cancer in May 1994, at the age of 55.
