Michael Bolton is an American Singer and Songwriter from New Haven, Connecticut. He performed in the Hard Rock and Heavy Metal Band Blackjack from the mid-1970s to mid-1980s as the frontman. He signed to Columbia Records as a Solo Artist in 1983 and became better known for his series of Pop Rock Ballads, recorded after a stylistic change in the late 1980s. He has sold more than 75 million records, with 10 albums and two No. 1 Singles on the Billboard Charts as well as winning multiple American Music Awards and Grammy Awards.
