The Winery Dogs is an American Rock Trio Supergroup, formed in New York City in 2012 by Mike Portnoy (Drums Ex Dream Theater, Transatlantic, Liquid Tension Experiment, Adrenaline Mob), Billy Sheehan (Bass Ex Talas, Steve Vai, David Lee Ruth, Mr. Big, Niacin), and Richie Kotzen (Guitar Ex Poison, Mr. Big).  All three have Hard Rock, Blues Rock and Progressive Rock background, and the band is working towards the Classic Rock Sound influenced by Led Zeppelin, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Grand Funk Railroad and slightly by Black Crowes, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden and Lenny Kravitz.
