The Marshall Tucker Band is an American Southern Rock/Country Rock Band from Sparlanburg, South Carolina. One of the major Southern Rock Band of the '70s, their music combined Rock, Country, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, and Gospel. The band original lineup, formed in 1972, included Toy Caldwell (Lead Guitar, Vocals - 1947-1993), Tommy Caldwell (Bass - 1949-1980), Doug Gray (Lead Vocals), George McCorkle (Rhythm Guitar - 1946-2007), Paul Riddle (Drums) and Jerry Eubanks (Flute). They gained recognition through a tour with The Allman Brothers Band and found significant success during the '70s.
