Mountain is an American Hard Rock Band from Long Island, New York, formed in 1969 by the producer of Cream, Felix Pappalardi (Bass,Vocals), Leslie West (Guitar, Vocals Ex The Vagrants), Steve Knight (Keyboards) and N.D. Smart (Drums).  Their best known songs:  "Mississippi Queen", "Them For An Imaginary Western", "For Yasgur's Farm".  Mountain is one of many bands to be commonly credited as having influenced the development of Heavy Metal Music.

Climbing! is the official debut studio album by Mountain, was released on March 7, 1970 by Windfall/Columbia Records, featured the band's best known song "Mississippi Queen". and "For Yasgur's Farm" was actually performed at the Woodstock Festival in August 1969.   Highly Recommended!.
