Steppenwolf is a Canadian-American Rock Band, formed in late 1967 in Toronto by John Kay (Vocals), Goldy McJohn (Keyboards), and Jerry Edmonton (Drums) from The Sparrow, with Michael Monarch (Guitar), Rushton Moreve (Bass).  The band sold over 30 million records worldwide, releasing eight gold albums and twelve Billboard Hot 100 Singles, including three Top 10 successes:  "Born To Be Wild", "Magic Carpet Ride" and "Rock Me".
