Carole King is an American Composer, Singer and Songwriter.  She began in the 1960s along with her husband Gerry Goffin, wrote more than two dozen chart hits for numerous artists (include The  Beatles, Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley, The Coasters, Ben E. King, The Shirelles, Little Eva, The Chiffons, The Monkees, the Drifters, The Crystals, The Cookies, Bobby Vee, James Taylor and many more!, many of which have become standards.  She has made 25 Solo Albums, the most successful being Tapestry No. 1 by a female artist for more than 20 years until broken by Whitney Houston for the soundtrack album The Bodyguard.  She has won four Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Songwriter Hall Of Fame and The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and she is the recipient of the 2013 Library Of Congress Gershwin Prize For Popular Song, the first woman to be so honored!.
