Soundgarden is an American Grunge Band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1984 by Chris Cornell (Vocals, Guitar), Kim Thayil (Lead Guitar), Hiro Yamamoto (Bass), and Scott Sundquist (Drums). Soundgarden was one of the creation of Grunge Bands and Alternative Rock that developed in Seattle same as Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Alice In Chains. The band achieved the biggest success with the 1994 album Superunknown, and No. 1 on Billboard Charts and had sold more than 10.5 million records in USA in 2012 or estimated 22.5 million worldwide. VH1 ranked Soundgarden at No. 14 in their special 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.
