Pete Townshend is an English Musician, Singer, Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, best known as the lead guitarist and songwriter for the rock band The Who, one of the most influential bands of the 20th Century, and having written well over 100 songs for the band's 11 albums, including concept albums and the Rock Operas Tommy and Quadrophenia. He was ranked No. 3 of Best Guitarists in the New Book Of Rock Lists, No. 10 in Gibson list of the Top 50 Guitarists, No. 10 in Rolling Stone Magazine's updated 2011 list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. In 1983, he received the Brit Award for Lifetime Achievement, and in 1980, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame as a member of The Who.
