The Courteeners are an English Indie Rock Band from Middleton, Greater Manchester, formed in 2006 by Liam Fray (Guitar, Vocals), Daniel Moores (Guitar), Mark Cuppello (Bass) and Michael Campbell (Drums).  The Courteeners received regular comparisons in the U.K. press to the leading three previous waves Britpop:  The Smiths, The Stone Roses and Oasis.
