Mountain is an American Hard Rock Band from Long Island, New York, formed in 1969.  Originally comprising Leslie West (Lead Vocals, Guitar Ex The Vagrants), Felix Pappalardi (Bass, Vocals), Steve Knight (Keyboards) and N.D. Smart (Drums), later replaced by Corky Laing, Leslie West's oldest friend.  Mountain's performance at the famous Woodstock Festival in 1969, and became one of many bands to having influenced the development of Heavy Metal Music in the 1970s.
