Vain is an American Heavy Metal Band from San Francisco, Bay Area, California, formed in 1986 by Davy Vain (Lead Vocals), Ashley Mitchell (Guitar), Danny West (Guitar), Jamie Scott (Guitar), and Tom Rickard (Drums).  They signed with Island Records in 1988, before released their debut album No Respect in 1989, which peaked at No. 154 on the Billboard 200.
