Ben & Ellen Harper are an American Folk Duo, from Claremont, California.  It is where Ellen raised Ben and his two younger brothers, singing Folk Songs inside their modest home, at park concerts and in local coffee houses.  They opened a small store selling acoustic instruments in the quiet downtown area.  Soon the Folk Music Center was helping to Southern California Folk Movement.  Ben Harper and his mother Ellen Harper have collaborated to create the album Childhood Home (Prestige Folklore).

Childhood Home created by Ben & Ellen Harper, was released on May 6, 2014 by Prestige Folklore, features ten songs, six written by Ben and four writtern by Ellen.  Ben Harper loves his mother and releasing this album just before Mother's Day was a Great Gift.  It's easy to see Ben's talent came naturally.  This album is different from Harper's other work.  It calls back to Folk Music of the the 60's and 70's with just a hint of country.  His mother has a beautiful warm voice, they sound fantastic together.  It's a beautiful album and a Great Folk Album!.
