Anvil are a Canadian Heavy Metal Band from Toronto, Ontario, formed in 1978 by Steve "Lips" Kudlow (Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar), Robb "Geze" Reiner (Drums), Dave "Squirrely" Allison (Guitar) and Ian "Dix" Dickson (Bass).   The band released the first album called Hard 'N' Heavy signed by Attic Records.  To date, the band has released fifteen studio albums, and has been cited as having influenced to many notable Heavy Metal Groups, including Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax.
