Soundgarden is an American Rock Band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1984 by Chris Cornell (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar), Kim Thayil (Lead Guitar), Hiro Yamamoto (Bass) and Scott Sundquist  joined the band in 1985(Drums) and replaced by Matt Cameron in 1986.
