The Wallflowers is a Rock Band from Los Angeles, California, formed by Jakob Dylan (Vocals, Guitar) (he is Son of Bob Dylan) in 1989, Barrie Maguire (Bass, Guitar, Vocals), Peter Yanowitz (Drums, Percussion), Rami Jaffee (Keyboards, Vocals). Peter Yanowitz and Barrie Maguire left the band shortly after the album's release and went on to join Natalie Merchant's Band. In May 1993, Jakob's old friend and schoolmate, Greg Richting joined the group, replacing Barrie Maguire on Bass.
They have released five studio albums and one compilation album and they have won two Grammy Awards for Best Rock Performance by Duo or Group with Vocals and Best Rock Song for their song "One Headlight" in 1998.
