Europe is a Swedish Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Band formed in Upplands, Vasby in 1979 under the name Force by Joey Tempest (Vocals), John Norum (Guitar), Peter Olsson (Bass) and Tony Reno (Drums).

Europe rose to international fame in the 1980s with the third album The Final Countdown in 1986, which became a substantial commercial success and sold over three million copies in USA, and in Europe was one of the most successful Rock Band and sold over 20 million albums Worldwide, they have two singles well-known worldwide ("The Final Countdown" and "Carrie").
