Shark Island was an American Hard Rock Band from Los Angeles and one of the most popular club bands during the 80's. They began as the Sharks as early as 1979 by Richard Black (considered to be the man Guns N' Roses' front man Axl Rose, and Spencer Sercombe joined forces. The line-up for the Sharks with Richard Black (Vocals) and Spencer Sercombe (Guitar) and released album called "Altar Ego" in 1982. in 1985 the Sharks have developed into Shark Island with Original line-up of Michael Guy (Guitar), Tom Rucci (Bass) and Walt Woodward (Drums), in 1990 the band from five-piece down to four, when Black and Sercombe recruited a new band of Chris Heilmann (Bass) and Greg Ellis (Drums), in 1991 Black and Sercombe joined shortly with the Supergroup band Contraband, and later Black with Michael Schenker, Spencer Sercombe played with the band Riverdog with Vivian Campbell and Def Leppard), Chris Heilmann played with Quireboys, and Greg Ellis plays with Michael Monroe's band and Steve Stevens.

The Law Of The Order was the debut major label Epic/Sony-Japan by Shark Island, with classic tracks such as: "Paris Calling", "Somebody's Falling", "Spellbound", and the great ballad "Bad For Each Other", "Why Should I Believe" as well as a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain" by the excellent singer Richard Black.
