The Third Power was a Hard Rock Power Trio Band, formed in 1969 from Detroit, Michigan. And have been described as "Detroit's answer to The Cream", the group disbanded in 1971 and Drew Abbott later went on to work with Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band.

The Third Power was released only one album "Believe" in 1970 by Vanguard Records and was dropped shortly after released as they thought they were too heavy for them and lacked of supports and this album became an instant collectable album.
