Blue Cheer was an American Psychedelic Blues-Rock Band from San Francisco, California, formed in 1966 by Dickie Peterson (Vocals, Bass), Liegh Stephens (Guitar), and Eric Albronda (Drums).  They have also been noted as influential in the developement of genres as disparate as Punk Rock, Stoner Rock, doom Metal, Experimental Rock, and Gunge. and they also credited as being pioneers of Heavy Metal and their classic cover track "Summertime Blues".

Vincebus Eruptum is the debut studio album by Blue Cheer, was released on January 16, 1968 by Phillis and the album peaked upto No. 11 on the Billboard Album Chart with cover song of Eddie Cochran's "Summertime Blues" and considered as on of the first Heavy Metal Albums.
