Axis was one of the legendary band from Louisiana as home base local Guitar Hero, Danny Johnson, Bassist Jay Davis and Drummer Vinnie Appice, (Vinny is the Carmine Appice's brother) joined forces in New York with Rick Derringer in the 1970 as The Derringer Band .
