Texas are a Scottish Pop Rock Band from Glasgow. They were founded in 986 by Johnny McElhone (Bass Ex Altered Images, Hipsway), and Sharleen Spiteri (Lead Vocals). The band released their debut album Southside in 1989, along with the debut Single "I Don't Want A Lover", which was an international hit, reaching the Top Ten in the UK and other high charting positions in Europe. The band has sold 40 million records, and they have had 13 UK Top Ten Singles, 3 UK No. 1 Albums and 8 UK Top Ten Albums.
