Nicholas Payton is an American Trumpet Player and Multi-Instrumentalist from New Orleans, Louisiana.  He originally followed in the footsteps of tradition-based players including Louis Armstrong, Al Hirt, Buddy Bolden, also Wynton Marsalis.  He has recorded and performed with Wynton Marsalis, Joshua Redman, Roy Hargrove, Joe Henderson and many more.  A Grammy Award Winner of Trumpet Star, Leads The Hottest Young Band in Jazz.
