The Detective was an American/English Rock Band, formed in the late 1970s by Michael Des Barres (Vocals), Michael Monarch (Guitar), Bobby Pickett (Bass), Tony Kays (Keyboards Ex Yes), Jon Hyde (Drums).  They were good, recalled Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, on whose Swan Song Label.
