Stoned Rose was an English Psychedelic Rock from Preston, Lancashire, formed in 1968 by Pete Hughes (Lead Guitar, later Ritzi), Mick Carroll (Lead Vocals, Guitar later Ritzi), Steve Woodworth (Bass), and John McAuley (Drums), originally birthed as One Step Beyond, and changed to Stoned Rose.  The original Bass Player, Steve Woodworth, left the band to go to university, and replaced by Chris Allen (later of Tiger Lily, Ultravox).  Their music like Stray and May Blitz.  Disbanded in 1973.
