Sloan is a Canadian Power Pop Band from Halifax, Nova Scotia, formed in 1991 by Chris Murphy (Bass, Vocals), and Andrew Scott (Drums, Vocals, Guitar), along with Patrick Pentland (Guitar, Vocals, Guitar) and Jay Ferguson (Guitar, Vocals).  The Band has received nine Juno Award nominations, winning one.
