In 1988 he was recruited by Mick Jagger for his first solo tour, In 1994 toured with Deep Purple, In 1995 with G3 collaborators have included Steve Vai, Steve Lukather, John Petrucci , Eric Johnson, Yngwie Malmsteen, Brian May, Patrick Rondat, Paul Gilbert, Adrian Legg, Steve Morse, Larry LaLonde, Andy Timmons and Robert Fripp. He formed The Supergroup Chickenfoot with Sammy Hagar (Vocals, Guitar Ex Montrose, Van Halen), Michael Anthony (Bass Ex Van Halen) and Chad Smith (Drums Ex Red Hot Chili Peppers).
