The Feelies is an American Rock Band from Haledon, New Jersey, formed in 1976 by Glenn Mercer (Guitar, Vocals), Bill Million (Guitar, Vocals), John Papesca (Bass) and Vinny DeNunzio (Drums).  The Feelies were influenced by The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed.  The band never sold a great number of records, their influence was felt on the Indie Rock Scene.  The first album Crazy Rhythms in 1980, was cited by R.E.M. as a major influence.  One of the most influential bands in the history of Alternative and Underground Music.
