Kenny Burrell is an American Jazz Guitarist, best known for his collaborations with Jimmy Smith hit album Organ Grinder Swing, in Top 20 on Billboard in 1965.  He has cited Jazz Guitarists Charlie Christian and Django Reinhardt as influences, along with Blues Musicians T-Bone Walker and Muddy Waters.  He also serves as a Professor and Director of Jazz Studies at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music.  He has won several Jazz Polls in USA, UK and Japan and he received the 2004 Jazz Educator of the Year Award from DownBeat, and was named a 2005 NEA Jazz Master.
