Grapefruit was a London-based British Band formed in 1967 and one of the better Beatles tune Pop Rock Band, similar to The Easybeats, Bee Gee and some Paul McCartney tunes, also some help from The Beatles.  Led by George Alexander (Vocals and Bass), together with three former members of Tony Rivers and the Castaways:  John Perry (Vocals, Guitar), Geoff Swettenham (Guitar) and Pete Swettenham (Drums).  Grapefruit was simply being known as"the Band formed and backed by The Beatles"
