Mark Knopfler is a British Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist, Record Producer and Film Score Composer.  He is best known as the lead guitarist and lead singer for the rock band Dire Straits in 1977 and disbanded in 1995, he recorded and produced eight solo albums.  He is a fingerstyle guitarist and Rolling Stone Magazine's list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.  He and Dire Straits have sold in excess of 120 million albums to date.  Four-time Grammy Award Winner.
