Lynyrd Skynyrd is an American Southern Rock Band, Originally formed in 1964 as the Noble Five in Jacksonville, Florida  The Band started well-know to worldwide on the basis of Live Performances and their classic tracks:  "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Free Bird" to the peak of success.   Three members died in an airplane crash in 1977 and surviving members re-formed in 1987 for a reunion tour with lead singer Ronnie Van Zant's younger brother Johnny Van Zant as frontman with only Gary Rossington original members remaining in 2012.
