Tommy McCoy started playing guitar at the early age of 8, in 1962.  His early influences were Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Albert King, B.B. King and Freddie King, also Mike Bloomfield and just about every other great Blues Guitarist of the era.  He worked with musicians from both The Allman Brothers Band and Stevie Ray Vaughan's Band.  In 1980, Tommy met Stevie Ray Vaughan and two became friends and hung out together whenever Stevie spent time in Florida where Tommy lived.  A decade later Tommy went to Austin, Texas where he recorded the bulk of the tracks for his debut solo album with Chris Layton (Drums) and Tommy Shannon (Bass) of Stevie Ray Vaughan's Classic Double Trouble Rhythm Section..
