Sid Griffin is an American Singer, Songwriter and Author, best-known as the leader of The Long Ryders formed in 1980.  He began and interested in Folk Rock and Country Rock, in particular the sounds of The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers.  In 1990, he formed The Coal Porters Group and he has recorded several solo albums and is the Author of volumes on Bob Dylan, Gram Parsons and Bluegrass Music.
