Black Prairie is an American Alternative Folk Band from Portland, Oregon, formed in 2007, it is a side project by Chris Funk (Dobro from The Decemberists), Nate Query (Bass from The Decemberists), Jenny Conlee (Accordion from The Decemberists), Annalisa Tornfelt (Vocals, Violin from Bearfoot And The Woolwines), John Moen (Durms from The Decemberists) and Jon Neufeld (Guitar from Dolorean and Jackstraw). The band played Folk Rock style same as Fairport Convention, or early Jefferson Airplane, and similar to Cowboy Junkies meets It's Beautiful Day.
