Larry Carlton is an American Jazz Guitarist, his playing style was influenced by Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, Barney Kessel, B.B. King and John Coltrane (Saxophone), his studio credits include Steely dan, Joni Mitchell, Michael Jackson, Sammy Davis Jr., Herb Alpert, Quincy Jones, Bobby Bland, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and others. He played with The Crusaders and with The Jazz Supergroup Fourplay. He has won four Grammy Awards.
The Jazz King Record is the result of a composition that he wrote for H. M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, this projecct was initiated to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of King Bhumibol's accession to the throne as well as his 80th Birthday in 2007. These compositions by The Royal Foundation and Rotary Club of Bangkok.
