Mudcrutch was formed 1970 by Tom Petty and Tom Leadon (Brother of The Eagles-Bernie Leadon in a band called Mudcrutch the original line-up consisted of Tom Petty (Vocals, Bass), Tom Leadon (Vocals, Guitar), Mike Campbell (Guitar), Randall Marsh (Drums), Leadon left the band in 1972 and replaced by Danny Roberts (Vocals, Guitar, Bass), and Benmont Tench also joined the band.


In 2007 Mudcruth reunited by Tom Petty, Tom Leadon, Randall Marsh of the original member with Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench.

Mudcrutch is the first album by American Rock Band Mudcrutch, released in 2008.  The band was original formed in 1967 and recorded several demos and singles but never released an album and disbanded by the record company in 1975 and did not play together again until 32 years later, they came back to record this album and able to enter to Billboard Chart.
